Where will the winger end up playing next season?

Gareth Bale apparently has no future back at Real Madrid despite the winger previously commenting he would see out his contract there.
Bale is out of contract with Madrid in 2022. He is currently on loan at Tottenham after a move that was designed to help him rediscover his better form. It hasn’t all gone to plan, though, despite some glimpses of his quality. And Spurs’ chances of keeping him have always been in doubt.
The Wales international recently admitted he was contractually obliged to return to Real in the summer. It left Tottenham’s hopes of signing him permanently – should they even wish to – hanging by a thread.
“I think for me, first and foremost I still have this season, and I still have plenty of games to go for the Euros,” he clarified last month.
“Obviously, going into next season, legally my contract says I have to go back to Real Madrid. That is what I stated, which I don’t think is being disrespectful to anybody. That’s legally what I have to do.
“Real Madrid are I guess my parent club and as far as I agreed I was on Tottenham on loan until the end of the season and I go back. That’s the plan so far.
“The reason I left was because I wanted to play games and get match fit and enjoy my football. Obviously come the summer I will go back to Real Madrid and we’ll go from there.
“I think the plan is to go back and then whether then I sit down with my agent is something we’ll do in the summer.”
Bale might be in for a surprise when he does return to Spain, though, as according to Diario Sport, Madrid owner Florentino Perez has placed him on a “blacklist” of players with no future at the club.
Relations between Bale and Madrid have grown frosty in recent years. They once spent a world-record fee to sign him but have often felt they are not his priority.
Bale was once infamously given a banner by Wales fans reading: “Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order.” While the winger may see himself at the latter next season, they do not have a place for him in their plans.
Therefore, he may have to find a new solution if he is unwilling to sit on the sidelines for a whole season. He has accepted such a role before, but the reason he joined Tottenham was to get playing again.
Whether they would be able to find a way to buy him permanently – or who else could – remains to be seen.
Someone who does not want to see Bale stay at Spurs is former midfielder Jamie O’Hara.
The pundit claimed the winger has had two performances in particular that were “shocking”. As such, he wants him to end his spell in north London.
“Everyone’s had enough of the Gareth Bale saga,” O’Hara told talkSPORT recently. “The fans, the players, the media, everyone has just had enough.
“He came in, there were people standing outside the ground, it was like the messiah coming back.
“He wasn’t fit for three months, got fit, had a few decent games, started playing well and then disappeared in the two biggest games of the season against Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb, two shocking performances.
“Then he comes out and says he just wanted to be fit for the Euros.

“It’s why he came to Spurs, he wants to go back to Real Madrid. Everyone is just tired of it.
“You can see Mourinho is tired of it. He didn’t bother playing him against Aston Villa, he brought him on for two minutes against Newcastle.
“That whole situation just needs to end.”
