Sergei Nechaev recalled that Russia, as before, advocates “a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Kiev and Donetsk and Lugansk”.
According to TASS, in an article published on Saturday in the German newspaper Die Welt, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev said that the West should abandon anti-Russian disinformation in the context of the Ukrainian conflict and not feed Kiev’s illusions.
“In this situation, we urge our Western partners to abandon aggressive anti-Russian disinformation and any actions that could lead to destabilization of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine”, – the ambassador said.
“There is no need to feed Kiev’s illusions about the possibility of a military solution to the conflict in Donbass. Such a game is very dangerous and can lead to irreversible consequences”.
Nechaev recalled that Russia, as before, is in favor of “a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Kiev and Donetsk and Lugansk”.
“This decision is based on strict, full and consistent compliance with the Minsk package of measures approved by UN Security Council Resolution 2202”, – the ambassador said in an article, according to which Kiev “is declaring more and more loudly that it is not going to fulfill the Minsk agreements”.
According to Nechaev, Western mediators, instead of forcing the Ukrainian authorities to comply with the Minsk agreements, continue to justify any actions of the Kiev regime.
