World Socialist Web Site recently spoke to Jorge O’Leary, a Mexican-born doctor and leader of the 1983–86 Phelps Dodge miners strike in Arizona. O’Leary, who is now 80 years old, spoke about the strike and the leading role played in it by the Socialist Equality Party’s predecessor organization, the Workers League.
