Patricia Altschul from Southern Charm has kept herself busy since filming for season seven came to a close. This socialite has her own business.
Since Southern Charm season 7 wrapped, Patricia Altschul has been keeping herself busy at home, and we've found out what she's been up to. Patricia is 80 years of age, which means that she needs to be careful during the pandemic. Her age group is at higher risk for complications from COVID-19. This is why Patricia has been spending most of her time over the past year quarantining in her home. Even when she was filming for the past season, most of her scenes took place at her home in Charleston with her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith. Even though she's been stuck at home, Patricia has managed to keep her spirits up.
Viewers met Patricia (who was caught flying a Confederate flag on her Christmas tree) for the first time during Southern Charm season one. While she has never been a full-time cast member, she has always been an integral part of the show. Her son Whitney was once a full-time cast member who would act as her confidant. While they both still show up on the series, they have begun appearing less and less. However, Whitney is the creator of the series and the mother and son will always have a spot available on the show.
Since the show ended, the 80-year-old has been focusing on her HSN home décor and fashion line, according to her @pataltschul Instagram. Her collection sells a variety of items such as caftans, pillows, blankets, robes, and other home accessories. She has shared pictures of some of her fellow Southern Charm castmates wearing her robes, including Cameran Eubanks and Madison LeCroy. Patricia also let her followers on Instagram know that she got the COVID-19 vaccination in January. As well, Pat has been spending quality time with her butler and friend, Michael.
Over the past year, the reality star, who never seems to get married despite a mystery engagement, has shared what she and Michael have been up to while in quarantine together. In February, Patricia shared a video of Michael making her the perfect martini. The pair seemed to be having fun whipping up one of Patricia's favorite drinks. Unfortunately, a month later, Michael had an acute spinal cord infarction, also known as a spinal cord stroke. Patricia shared a link to the Caring Bridge, where her followers can go and find out how Michael is doing on his journey to recovery. Two weeks ago, she gave her fans an update on his progress, letting everyone know that Michael appreciates all the sweet cards, messages, and well wishes he had been getting over the last few weeks. Right now, her main focus is supporting Michael emotionally.
While ultra-rich Patricia has been focusing on her business and her good friend, Michael, she is also looking to the future. Soon, fans will get more updates on how her long-time pal and butler has been doing. Viewers are looking forward to seeing Patricia's life since she completed filming Southern Charm last summer. This woman is always fun to watch.
