Husband started seeing escorts while I was pregnant and he has lost my trust
DEAR DEIDRE: SOON after my mum died and we had a new baby, I found out my husband is addicted to using escorts.
I’m 35, my husband is 37 and we have been married for eight years.
When I finally got pregnant after several years of trying, my mum was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer.
She died shortly before our baby was born.
Then my husband’s sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to start treatment. We were under so much stress.
My husband was acting strangely so one day I looked at his phone and found a couple of emails arranging visits to escorts.
When I confronted him, he said he didn’t think he had a problem and would stop.
But when his credit card statement arrived, I discovered he’d paid multiple times for sessions with escorts.
He apologised and said his head was messed up, that he wants us to forget it and move on. But I can’t.
I feel totally betrayed and have lost all trust in him.

Neither of you will be able to move on from his cheating until you get to the root of what went wrong.
As long as he is hooked on escorts, you won’t feel valued.
Saying he’ll stop isn’t enough or the answer. He needs to face up to his issues.
