Born in 1988, Dallas is four years older than Demi. Dallas and Demi's parents are Dianna De La Garza and the late Patrick Lovato. Their parents' marriage was rough. As Diana wrote in her 2015 memoir, Falling with Wings: A Mother's Story, she knew she needed to leave the relationship due to domestic abuse issues. However, she worried that breaking up the family unit wasn't the best option for her daughters. Ultimately, Dianna made the brave choice to leave Patrick in 1994 and remarry her first husband, Eddie De La Garza, in 1995. Eddie and Dianna then had Dallas and Demi's youngest sister, Madison.
Like Demi, Dallas mourned the tragic loss of Patrick Lovato back in 2013. Also like Demi, Dallas made a life for herself in the entertainment space. She is a dancer and actor.
