According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Juventus over the availability of former Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey.
Ramsey has certainly not been a flop at Juventus, particularly considering that the Welshman arrived on a free transfer in January of last year after his contract with Arsenal ran out.
However, the midfielder has not hit the same heights in Turin as he did during his time at the Emirates.
This is not the first time Ramsey has been mentioned as a potential target for Spurs, with the former Gunners star being linked with a move to the Lilywhites during last summer’s transfer window.
Reports from Italy once again claimed back in February that the Juve star was on the radars of both Spurs and Wolves.
TMW have now revealed that the Serie A giants are keen to get Ramsey’s salary off their wage bill and are thus set to sell him in the summer.
The report names Tottenham as one of three clubs who have made contact over the 30-year-old’s availability, along with Liverpool and Everton.
Spurs Web Opinion
I can see why Mourinho would be a fan of Ramsey given his engine and tactical versatility. However, I do not believe the Welshman would want to ruin his Arsenal legacy by moving to Spurs and most Tottenham fans would likely not be in favour of signing him.
