The reality series 90 Day Fiancé didn't become an empire just because of its premise, and the secret of its success is its many drama kings and queens, including Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima. Over the seasons, 90 Day Fiancé has attracted a massive fan following. The disastrous matches featured in the franchise (as well as the troubled family dynamics) cause the show's drama queens and kings to react onscreen. Some of these stars keep entertaining viewers, season after season, and spin-off after spin-off.
Larissa Lima is the "queen" of all queens when it comes to getting dramatic on the show. Angela Deem has carried multiple episodes of the franchise shows she has appeared in. Though viewers may complain that Angela's theatrics are excessive, they always come back for more episodes. However, the women of the show aren't the only ones who start fires on 90 Day Fiancé and spin-offs. The men have also made the series binge-worthy, including "toxic" and disliked cast member Colt Johnson and Paul Staehle.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima is the perfect starting point, as no one can forget her exclaiming, “Who is against the queen will die!” This scene is one of the most memorable and dramatic of the entire franchise. Throughout her relationship with Colt, Larissa expressed herself whenever she felt slighted. She was not scared to tell people exactly how she felt about them, and she definitely got dramatic often. Fans will remember when Larissa tried to ban Colt from inviting his friends (who did not like Larissa) to their wedding.
The Brazilian beauty, who's had a ton of plastic surgery procedures, isn't afraid to say exactly what she thinks, no matter who she is talking to. Larissa fought with her ex-husband's mother Debbie Johnson regularly. Larissa's drama is fun to watch, so it's a shame that fans won’t see her on the TLC show again. She parted ways with TLC, and most viewers wish things were different.
When Jorge Nava angered Anfisa, it was never a good thing, as she had a hair-trigger temper on the show. While Jorge and Anfisa were together, she found out that he had discussed ending their marriage with his sister, Lourdes. This did not sit well with Anfisa. She walked away and ignored Jorge. However, that was not Anfisa’s most dramatic moment. Her keying the word “idiot” into the side of his car probably takes the cake. She did not stop there, as she texted Jorge, “I did something to your car.”
Jorge was ready to break up with her and drop her off at the airport. However, they somehow managed to reconcile and went through with their wedding. Anfisa said she did not regret it. There was drama galore between Jorge and Anfisa, but the two are now separated and pursuing their own passions. Anfisa is a successful fitness model and Jorge is expecting his first child with his partner.
Birds of a feather flock together, so it's no surprise that Larissa and Colt found each other. Both are very dramatic people. These two were an explosive pair who brought out the worst in each another. Colt has had other issues with women, as his relationship with Jess Caroline also broke down. When it comes to his past romantic woes, he may have been the problem. While Colt was quieter than the women he dated, he still earns the drama king title fair and square. This is because he seems to enjoy making the women he is with angry and frazzled. He may just be an instigator.
Some viewers believe that Colt is the source of the drama that often swirls around him. Colt likes to say he attracts women with issues, but honestly, it seems as though women with issues are his type. Fans have called him a narcissist and have speculated that he thrives on drama. Maybe he's changing, as he has been pursuing his longtime friend Vanessa Guerra in the new spin-off show, 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life.
Most fans remember when Paul ran away from Karine after telling her he had a criminal record. Once he took off, she got robbed by an armed man with a machete. Their relationship has been very tumultuous, and their financial problems have not helped. Paul tends to overreact, especially when he is in Brazil. When he first met Karine, he packed entire boxes of unnecessary sanitary equipment, and it is safe to say that Karine was thoroughly embarrassed.
The pair are still together, and Karine likely understands that her husband will always be a little bit erratic. She has borne the brunt of many of Paul’s outbursts, especially when he accused her of cheating because she was leaving comments under guys' Instagram pictures. He got very upset, but they did end up smoothing things over. In the past, his dramatics have gotten him in trouble. He was charged with felony arson for attempting to burn down an ex-girlfriend’s house. Fans find this franchise star too "controlling."
Of course, no list of 90 Day Fiancé drama kings and queens is complete without Angela Deem. Known for swearing at Michael Ilesanmi frequently, she has inspired endless memes. Angela has often told Michael not to mess with her. Now, he seems to have gotten the message. Angela was not happy when she went to a club with Michael because she thought he was staring at a dancer. She claimed that he did not actually love her and was cheating on her.
Angela has broken up with Michael many times and then taken him back. She even forgave him for cheating. During the Tell All, she screamed “we’re done” when Michael referred to her age. Most of her theatrics probably stem from her insecurities and the pressures of being with a younger man. However, Angela also cussed out another cast member, Avery. She felt Avery was bullying Jesse too much, so she jumped at her. Drama is an everyday part of Angela and Michael's relationship. Fans can expect more fireworks when they appear on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
90 Day Fiancé airs on Sundays at 8pm EST on TLC.
