BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – All sea ports in the Syrian governorates of Tartous and Latakia suspended sea traffic on Wednesday, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
SANA quoted the Syrian Ministry of Transport as saying that all ports in the governorates of Tartous and Latakia were closed to maritime navigation due to the prevailing weather conditions from today at 1 PM until further notice.
For his part, Engineer Hani Shriqi, in charge of managing the affairs of the General Directorate of Ports, stated that the ports of Tartous and Latakia, in addition to the fishing and picnic ports, have been closed due to the wind speed, which is currently about 80 kilometers per hour.
