The parliament of India on Monday discussed the case of 22-year-old Rashmi Samant, the first-ever Indian woman to be elected as president of the Oxford University Student Union (OUSU). Within a week of being elected, Samant was forced to resign due to her past social media posts. Her backers say she was targeted because of her Hindu faith.
