Falcon & Winter Soldier Trailer Hypes Next MCU Show After WandaVision
A new The Falcon and The Winter Soldier trailer hypes the next Marvel Cinematic Universe show on Disney+ after WandaVision. Marvel Studios' venture to the small screen for MCU content began only a few weeks ago with WandaVision, and it is hard to believe the show is already over. Even though the series just wrapped up eight straight weeks of new MCU programming, fans' attention has started to shift to what comes next: The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Marvel Studios has been busy promoting the series led by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan for the last few months. The six-episode show looks quite different from what viewers experience with WandaVision. Instead of a sitcom-style series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier seems like an action-packed buddy-cop show for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. The trailers have done a great job of communicating this drastically different tone while hiding most of the plot. With WandaVision officially over, Marvel has now released another teaser to remind fans that more MCU content is coming soon.
Marvel Studios debuted a new short trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on its social media accounts today. It doesn't include any new footage but highlights how the first episode drops in two weeks. It once again focuses on the action and teases the ensemble cast around Mackie and Stan with shots of Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), and a new foe played by Erin Kellyman.
The reminder that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is so close to debuting is good news for WandaVision viewers sad that the series has concluded. There will be another new piece of MCU content next week with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of WandaVision. All eyes then turn to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and the exploration of Captain America's mantle. This new trailer leaves out John Walker (Wyatt Russell), the show's new Captain America, as his introduction and relationship with Sam Wilson are saved for the series itself.
With such a small gap between WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, it will be interesting to see how much attention the former gets two weeks from now. In the past, a new piece of MCU content had enough revelations and mysteries to generate conversation and theories for months, and the Marvel release slate allowed this to happen. Now that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be at the center of fans' minds in two weeks, that will inevitably take some focus away from WandaVision and what its finale means for the MCU's future. This will especially be true should the next MCU Disney+ show launch as many theories as WandaVision.
