Marvel's Superman Is Stronger Than The Hulk In Heroes Reborn

In a Heroes Reborn reality where Marvel's Superman, Hyperion, is one of the greatest heroes on Earth, he will be so strong that he is an even bigger heavyweight than the Incredible Hulk. In a new variant cover, Hyperion's true strength is on display, as he toys with a defeated Hulk, lifting him over his head for everyone to see.
Later this month, Marvel Comics will revisit the Heroes Reborn event. However, unlike the old, critically-maligned arc that saw heroes and villains take new forms, the new chapter, spearheaded by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness, will see the entire Marvel Universe changed - with Blade being the only person who remembers the old universe. The Squadron Supreme, Marvel's pastiche of the Justice League, will become the top heroes, as the Avengers cease to exist. Captain America wasn't unfrozen from ice at the same time, Iron Man was never trapped in a cave, and Thor became a hammer-hating Athiest. The Squadron Supreme aren't full-blown good guys, either.
Hyperion, who has nearly identical powers and a similar origin to Superman, the character he was based on, has already been teased to fight Doctor Juggernaut - Marvel's combination of Juggernaut and Doctor Doom. Previous images have also showcased the hero (and sometimes villain) fighting the Incredible Hulk. In a brand new cover, Hyperion can be seen lifting the Hulk with one hand, as the Jade Giant looks completely demoralized. The text reads "The Strongest There Is." The cover by Carlos Pachecho will be a variant for The Amazing Spider-Man #64.
Issue two of Heroes Reborn has Hyperion dealing with the breakout of his biggest villains, including Ultron, General Annihilus, Ultron, and the Immortal Hulk from the Negative Zone. Considering this appears to be the standard Hulk, it's possible this image shows how he originally defeated the usual longtime Avenger before trapping him in the Negative Zone. Or, it's possible this is just a teaser cover to show how strong Hyperion really is.
Hyperion is called Marvel's Superman for a reason. Like the iconic DC Comics hero, he's got superhuman strength, speed, stamina, along with x-ray vision. However, unlike Kal-El, he's not about truth and justice, as he's been everything from a villain, to an antihero, to a hero -regardless, he's usually got some ego to him. In the normal Marvel Universe, he's considered one of the strongest beings there is. In the Heroes Reborn Universe, Hyperion has seemingly catapulted some of the greatest heroes and villains to become the strongest hero, period. The cover featuring Hulk and Hyperion will be available in comic stores on April 21, 2021. Heroes Reborn #1 launches on May 5, 2021.
