Liverpool FC Women’s Game Postponed Due To A Frozen Pitch

The match against Coventry United was postponed after the pitch at Prenton Park was deemed unplayable It’s been a season of frustration and false starts for the Liverpool Women’s team. Amber Whiteley and her side were hoping to create some positive momentum today with a game against bottom of the table Coventry United. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans.
With a cold snap forecasted overnight on Saturday, the game was pushed back a few hours over concerns about the pitch at Prenton Park being frozen. The League Two side Tranmere Rovers, who serve as the host for the Women’s team for training and matches, cannot afford the under-field heating to ensure the field stays playable during cold snaps.
