Magnetic IED Targets Telecommunication and IT Ministry’s SUV
A magnetic mine targeted a vehicle carrying a Telecommunications and IT Ministry official on Monday morning.
The incident happened at around 8:38 Am this morning on the Shura Road in the PD6 area of Kabul city.
Kabul Police said in a press statement, that “no one was hurt in the explosion”.
No individual to the group has yet claimed the responsibility for the incident.
Targeted killings, Magnetic IED blasts, have recently spiked across Afghanistan.
“A second IED detonated in the Khairkhana area in PD11 in Kabul – also targeting a vehicle, police stated there were no casualties and no further details were provided as to who the vehicle belonged to”, ATN reported.
This comes after a day, when Two afghan female Judges were shot and killed on Sunday, in the Qala-e-Fathullah area of PD10 in Kabul city.
“Attacks by the Taliban and other terrorist groups against defenseless people are against Islamic teaching and against the spirit of peace.”, President Ghani said by condemning the attack adding that “terror and crime and violence are not the solutions to the problem, and the current crisis and the war prolongs the country’s issues”.
