Crescent Pike is a 4-star polearm that provides good DMG bonuses for any characters that can use those kinds of weapons, such as Xiangling and Zhongli.
However, the most forged weapon in Genshin Impact is Prototype Archaic, a 4-star claymore that's one of the best weapons in the game. Because claymore wielders are typically used for DPS roles, the Prototype Archaic is a greatly desired weapon. Popular Genshin characters like Xinyan, Diluc, Beidou, and Noelle all use claymores, which might explain why so many people are forging Prototype Archaic at a blacksmith.
