Buddy has been Whitney's rock, and she has been his throughout their lifetime. He has been a shoulder to cry on during her devastating breakup, and fans are wondering if there is any animosity between the two. Whitney notably kicked him to the curb while she was engaged.
One of the most recent episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Life showed Whitney home alone, trying to process the drama that had gone down between her and her ex-fiance. Fans quickly learned that Buddy had to come to the rescue and drove her home from a Charlotte hospital after she thought she might be having heart problems.
Understandably, the chest pain turned out to be a broken heart and a panic attack combined. Buddy revealed he was on the way down to drop provisions off to Whitney and then realized he could not leave her in such a vulnerable state. He decided to hunker down and have the two quarantine together. It was apparent that the two had not lost the spark in their friendship. Whitney confessed that she wished she had someone else's life, and the break-up had left her thinking about getting bariatric surgery. This news upset Buddy because she had never voiced that particular concern and felt Chase had done this to his friend. During the episode, Buddy told cameras that the break-up had been extremely tough on Whitney, but "she's also the toughest woman I know and I'm excited about what the future will bring for her."
The two even updated their marriage contract, which stated that if neither were married at the age of 55, they would marry one another. Buddy found himself a new girlfriend this past June and made it Instagram official for fans who aren't aware. A sneak peek of an upcoming episode also showed an old lover coming back into Whitney's life: the one and only Lennie who painted a lifesize canvas of her a couple of seasons ago. Hopefully, Lennie can be the rebound Whitney needs. If there's anyone who deserves to find happiness after a rough year, it's most definitely Whitney.
