Some Twilight characters would be great to have over for the holidays, while others wouldn't be great Christmas guests. Here's how they compare.
When it comes to our favorite stories, we all like to imagine what it might be like to interact with our favorite character. Twilight fans likely have the characters they love as well as some they don’t like so much, but even some of the arguably good characters wouldn’t make great guests for a holiday get together.
In this list, the main characters from the series, except for any villains, are compared and ranked on whether or not they would bring cheer and fun to a holiday party. Some would bring calm and happiness while others would bring a good time, but there are a handful of characters one wouldn’t want to invite at all.
Bella Swan might be the protagonist of the series, and she’s not always as weak or annoying as some people make her out to be. However, she still wouldn't be the best guest to have over for a celebration.
She tends to be clumsy and awkward, and seeing as how she is often hurting herself, she would be a liability. However, after she becomes a vampire, she might not be bad to have around.
Charlie Swan would be one of the more chill and unassuming guests, but he wouldn't cause any issues. He would probably bring a six-pack to share, and if it started to snow, he’d be outside shoveling your sidewalk.
If one just wanted to have a small gathering of a few people, he would be a great guest, but he probably wouldn’t enjoy a big or fancy party.
While Jacob might have some good traits, he is way too moody to trust for a holiday get-together. If he’s in a good, happy mood, he wouldn’t be awful to have around, but these moods seem to be few and far between.
Anytime anything is going bad in his love life, he tends to lash out and make things pretty dramatic. His tendency to get angry over little things would mean he wouldn't be fun to have around.
Emmett Cullen might be rather strong and large with huge muscles, but he’s overall a very laid back guy who just likes to have fun. Sure, he might want to wrestle with bears and such, but he also just likes to hang out and laugh.
He’s definitely one of the least dramatic members of the Cullen family, and he would tell jokes and have fun with everyone around.
On the other hand, Emmett’s lover wouldn’t make such a good guest. She’s the opposite of Emmet in many ways because while he’s pretty good-natured and doesn’t get too upset about things, she is often mad or stewing.
She is also pretty introverted and judgemental, so she probably wouldn’t make any guests feel at ease. Plus, she’d be happy to be forced to go to an event she isn’t interested in anyway.
While Jacob might be rather immature and have a lot of growing up to do, his father, Billy, would make a terrific guest. He is smart and is usually looking out for other people around him.
He would probably stick to himself somewhat, but he would be great for a one-on-one conversation. And, it would be especially delightful to have him over with his friend, Charlie Swan.
Jasper could go one of two ways. On the one hand, his ability to influence emotions means a party would probably be pretty calm and jovial, but, on the other hand, these emotions might not be real.
Also, Jasper is kind of a strange person. He’s rather aloof and to himself, so he wouldn’t really bring the party or even be great at board games.
These two would make the perfect couple for basically any holiday party. They would be happy to bring whatever you needed, and they would likely bring the best dish to any potluck.
They would also know just how to dress for any dress code, and they would be polite and kind to everyone around them. They would also help make any party seem classy and expensive. It's no wonder fans love Carlisle, and Esme, too.
Edward Cullen might be the main love interest in the series, but he’s really, really moody.
His moodiness puts Rosalie and Jacob to shame at times, mostly because he’s so brooding. While he can be okay to be around at times, he doesn’t seem to like to be around a lot of people at once, and he definitely isn't’ really a fun character.
Of all the main characters from the saga, Alice would be one of the most fun to invite to any party. She loves an excuse to dress up, and she would probably offer to help decorate.
In fact, she would likely take over any kind of party planning if give the chance. She’s eccentric but in a really fun way, and everyone would be delighted by her.
