Just moments ago we had the pleasure to see 2016 Olympic Gold medal winner Hasanboy Dusmatov (2-0, 2) [Ҳасанбой Дўсматов] fight in his second professional bout. Sadly however it wasn't much of a fight for Dusmatov who was in more of a cameo than anything else.
The talented Uzbek had seen 2 opponents pull out before he even stepped into the ring, and as a result it was the debuting Oldijon Soldinikov (0-1) stood opposite Dusmatov. Sadly it was obvious from the very early moments that this was a mismatch and it didn't take long for Dusmatov to score the first knockdown of the fight.
A second knockdown came soon afterwards, then a third and a fourth. Forcing the referee to wave off the bout with seconds of the opening round left.
This was a blink and you miss it performance by Dusmatov, who will certainly want to be busier in 2021 than he was this year, with this being his sole bout of the year.
Despite the short duration of the bout Dusmatov looked razor sharp, heavy handed, calm, collected and like a man who was doing a professional job on someone he knew didn't belong in the ring with him. Fingers crossed the next opponent will be more of a test for the exceptionally talented 27 year old Southpaw.
