Bachelorette: Kaitlyn Bristowe & Jason Have COVID & Post Sad Christmas Card
Kaitlyn and Jason have quickly become one of the most adored couples in Bachelor Nation. Since Kaitlyn's breakup with Shawn Booth, who won her season of The Bachelorette, she quickly moved on and started dating Jason. She recently competed on Dancing With the Stars and won the Mirrorball Trophy, and Jason posted a video where he was cheering on his girlfriend. The two have moved in together and currently reside in Nashville. Kaitlyn, a Vancouver native, has talked about her desire to have children with Jason at some point in the future, and given the fact that there have not been any signs this couple will break up anytime soon, one has to imagine a potential engagement is not too far out of the picture. Jason, a Buffalo native who placed third on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, shares a Golden Retriever named Pinot with Kaitlyn.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Jason and Kaitlyn each shared that, although they had been careful while quarantining, they still both had recently tested positive for coronavirus. Jason captioned his post, "Shame on us, we didn’t stick to the plan. We made an adult decision to allow a friend over." He shared a video, while Kaitlyn posted a picture of them each looking unhappy and disheveled (but, if we're being honest, they both still looked great despite being upset over a Covid diagnosis.)
Kaitlyn captioned her post, "We thought we were making a responsible decision to have ONE person over, who had been tested daily for work. Negative tests 4 days in a row. The day we saw her, she became positive which we all found out the next day." Clare Crawley commented on Kaitlyn's image, "Hoping you have a fast recovery," while Blake Horstmann commented on Jason's video, "Get better guys!"
Jason mentioned in his video that they had been experiencing symptoms, like a fever and a cold sweat. They delivered a warning to their followers to take the virus seriously. Jason ended his post with, "Thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have been impacted by Covid, to those who have endured a challenging 2020." While 2020 is almost over, social distancing will still be necessary to keep everyone healthy before the vaccine is widely available.
