Chairman’s Christmas Message
Dear Supporter
I hope you are all keeping safe and well and looking forward to the festive season, which will undoubtedly be different this year. The year has been hard on all of us and I hope we can all manage some respite in the days to come and safely spend time with some of our family members.
As Chairman of Arbroath FC, I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for your unwavering support over the past year. It has been really humbling to experience the efforts that everyone has made in helping this great Club get through what has been truly unprecedented times. Your purchases of season tickets, shares, and the phenomenal response to our fund raisers especially the supporter’s wall has been amazing. The renewal of sponsorship and advertising that are vital sources of income has made a real difference too.
Your patience has also been remarkable, and we fully appreciate how frustrating it must be in not being able to come down to Gayfield to cheer the team on or enjoy our excellent hospitality. You will be aware that much is going on behind the scenes with the relevant football authorities and government bodies working to be able to allow supporters back into stadia and we are hopeful that there will be developments in the New Year that will allow it. While capacity may still be significantly reduced, we are really looking forward to being able to welcome as many of our fans back as we can when it is safe to do so.
I am sure everyone will have been delighted that we secured our first league win last Saturday and as we move into the next part of the season we need everyone to pull together, get behind us in whatever way you can to help the team climb the table. Everyone at Gayfield is determined and focused to be the best that we can be to drive this club forward and continue to be in the Championship next season.
