COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person has died after a shooting Wednesday night on the North Side of Columbus.
Columbus police responded to a call of a shooting just before 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of Shanley Drive.
Police found Shandese Brunner suffering from a gunshot wound, she was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition. After arriving at the hospital, doctors pronounced her dead at 9:01 p.m. She was 19 years old.
Police spoke with two witnesses at the scene who said they were making a private sale with Brunner during which shots were fired.
Police believe they have suspect, but their identity is being withheld until the incident is further investigated.
