According to the Mirror, Manchester United could be unable to land Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland due to their poor relationship with the 20-year-old’s agent Mino Raiola.
The Red Devils were desperate to secure the services of the striker in the previous winter window when he was still on the books of Austrian side RB Salzberg.
Norwegian boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who had previously worked with the supremely talented striker at Molde, was keen to secure his services for United. However, as per the Mirror, the negotiations between the two parties didn’t go well, and that friction could still be a major stumbling block in the way of a future deal with the 20-year-old.
Seeing this situation, the Manchester side are looking at Everton’s Dominic Calvert Lewin as a potential alternative.
The English footballer has been spectacular for the Toffees this season, plundering 11 goals in 14 Premier League appearances.
The 23-year-old is currently contracted to the Merseyside club until 2025 and it looks highly unlikely that they would be ready to sell such a talented player unless the Red Devils come up with an astronomical bid.
Manchester United, who recently registered an emphatic victory against Leeds United at Old Trafford, will now travel to Leicester City this weekend to take on Brendan Rodgers’ side who are currently second in the Premier League standings.
