KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the step taken against nation and people’s sentiment by one person within the party does not affect the party unity.
The press statement issued by NCP Co-chair Dahal today says the spontaneous step taken by his party’s co-chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the House of the Representatives is unconstitutional, undemocratic, autocratic and regressive.
He said the NCP’s standing committee meeting held on Sunday objected to and denounced the PM’s spontaneous move and has thus sought clarification from him as a disciplinary action.
“I hereby want to make the fact clear to the party leaders and cadres and the entire people that our party remains united and that the move made by one person against nation and people’s sentiment does not affect the party unity,” NCP co-chair said in the statement.
It becomes our duty to protect the political revolution along with federal democratic republic system achieved through people’s struggle and sacrifice, Dahal stated.
He called all for standing united against any activity and factors that could fragment the party unity for the sake of prosperous Nepal and the future of Nepal’s Communist movement.
Any activity carried out by one person could not destroy the party structures and unity, he expressed his view, and urged all not to believe any propaganda against the spirit of the same.
