Players can earn tons of loot and find special treasures hidden throughout the afterlife in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The Great Vault is an additional loot feature that holds even greater treasure than those hidden around the various leveling areas. In the Great Vault, players can select a reward item each week, including a Legendary power, from a group of nine items. Players unlock these options each week by completing certain activities, including participating in Raids, completing Mythic Dungeons, and earning Honor in Rated PvP. This is a new mechanic introduced in the Shadowlands expansion that takes the place of and improves upon Bonus Rolls.
If players complete all the necessary activities, once per week after maintenance, they will be able to enter the Great Vault and select their reward. Players will find the Great Vault in Oribos. The loot players can choose from often correlates to the difficulty of raids, the number of Mythic dungeons completed, and the number of honor points earned in PvP. Here's how to access the Great Vault and receive better rewards in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Players will find the Great Vault in Oribos, the central hub in the Shadowlands expansion. This is located in the Hall of Holding at coordinates 65.0, 29.3.
Specifically, players will find the Great Vault in the Ring of Fates section of the Hall of Shapes. This is the same hall where players find the professions trainers. Players should make sure to stop by this location every week following maintenance or the weekly reset to claim their reward.
Players will need to unlock the Great Vault via a quest chain first. The first time the player accesses the Vault, they will receive Legendary powers for their class, which can be used to craft Legendary Armor and items.
Players will add reward items to the Great Vault by completing their weekly objectives. Each week, they will need to complete three tasks each in Raids, Mythic Dungeons, and PvP matches.
In Raids, players can defeat three Castle Nathria bosses to earn one item in the Great Vault. They can increase the items available by defeating seven or ten Raid bosses instead. The reward item level corresponds to the difficulty level of the Raid.
In Mythic Dungeons, players will need to complete one to unlock one item in the Great Vault each week, four to unlock two items or ten to unlock three items. Like Raids, the item level of the available rewards is determined by the lowest level of the top one, four, or ten completed dungeons for the week.
In Rated PvP, players will need to earn 1,250 Honor Points to unlock one item in the Great Vault each week. They will need to earn 2,500 Honor Points for two items, and 6,250 Honor Points to unlock all three items. The level of the reward items in the vault depends on the player's highest bracket win for the week.
If players do not like any of the rewards for the week, they can instead choose to take Brimming Anima Orbs. These count as Anima items players can deposit in their Covenant's Reserve at the Sanctum and use for other tasks during the week. No matter what reward a player selects, this is a great way to continue improving gear and preparing to take on the Jailer.
