SAM Thompson and Zara McDermott have fuelled speculation that they are secretly backed together after a social media gaffe.
The Made in Chelsea stars, who split in September after Zara cheated during X Factor: Celebrity last year, were snapped looking cosy at a lunch this weekend in a photo that was swiftly deleted from Instagram.
A source said: “Zara and Sam had gone out for a Sunday roast with a small group of pals ahead of the looming lockdown.
“They were all having such a nice time that one got carried away and uploaded a post with Sam and Zara in it, forgetting that they’re not officially together.
“The friend soon realised their mistake and deleted the post before it drew too much attention.
“The word amongst their inner circle is they’re back together, but to the public it’s a different story.”
On Monday, Made in Chelsea viewers saw Sam tearfully tell Zara he was “completely out” of their relationship after she tried to win him back in a love letter.
Their split played out in the show in October after The Sun revealed the previous month that Zara cheated with music boss Brahim Fouradi.
This morning, the pair posted videos of themselves working out at the same gym on Instagram.
Love Island star Zara uploaded provocative selfies showing the results of her workout at One LDN gym in Fulham.
Posing in racing athletic wear, the Love Islander wrote: “Busy day ahead get up early and get it done… Just another day at the office.”

Sam later shared a clip of himself squatting alongside the same personal trainer as Zara, Christopher Barker.
Zara last posted from the gym at around 9am, while Sam’s upload was at around 11am, however, it’s not clear when it was filmed.
The former couple, who were together for 16 months, confused fans on Saturday after Zara sharing a throwback of them kissing.
It was captioned: “I choose you. And I’ll choose you over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.”
