Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge has provided an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Milan Skriniar as well as a back up to Harry Kane.
Tottenham have been one of the busiest teams in the Premier League in terms of incomings, with the club managing to snap up Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon so far this window.
Reports indicate that Spurs still want to bring in a central defender and a striker before the transfer window closes in one week (Evening Standard).
Bridge believes that Tottenham will have had a brilliant transfer window if they manage to sign Skriniar as well as a striker before the deadline.
Here’s what the journalist said on Sky Sports News’ Good Morning Transfers yesterday regarding Tottenham’s transfer plans:

Spurs Web Opinion
It seems clear by now that Skriniar is our number one centre-back target and I am hopeful we can get a deal completed for him in the next few days. What is puzzling is the fact that we have seemingly not settled on our number one striker target despite having just a week left in the transfer window. Perhaps that is an indication that we might go after someone like Josh King as Premier League clubs are allowed to make singings from EFL clubs beyond the October 5 deadline.
