Here's who's the voice behind The Mandalorian season 2 trailer. The much-anticipated first look at the Disney+ series was released a month and a half before new episodes drop on the streaming service. Clocking in at almost two minutes, it mainly focuses on the adventure that lies ahead for Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Baby Yoda, but there's another presence in the clip as a conversation between the lone gunslinger and a mysterious woman plays in the background.
Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian takes place five years after the events of The Return of the Jedi and tackles a character-focused narrative about Mando who's tasked to hunt down a Force-sensitive 50-year-old infant from the same species as Jedi Master Yoda. Instead of delivering the Child to his clients who are remnants of the fallen Galactic Empire, he decided to keep the infant to himself, afraid of what's going to happen to him if he's left alone. However, the introduction of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) — a former Imperial governor who's really the one after Baby Yoda, Mando must continue to keep an eye on the kid to keep him safe.

Aside from running away from Moff Gideon, Mando also gets a brand new personal mission at the end of The Mandalorian season 1 — reunite the Child with his people. Until then, he and Baby Yoda become a clan of two, with the lone gunslinger being the kid's father figure. This was echoed in The Mandalorian season 2 trailer as Din discusses what he needs to do for Baby Yoda with the Armorer. Introduced in the first season of The Mandalorian, the Armorer is played by Emily Swallow with Lauren May Kim serving as her stunt double. She's a female Mandalorian who served as an armorer during this period in Star Wars history, hence her name.
When she debuted, she lived in an underground settlement in Nevarro with other Mandalorians to keep a low profile. She forged Din's new armor from the Beskar he received from the Client (Werner Herzog) following his first bounty hunting job for him. Shortly after Din and Baby Yoda's escape from the Bounty Hunters' Guild in season 1, episode 3 titled "The Sin," the enclave was discovered by the Imperials leaving Mandalorian armors from those who are fleeing or dead. The Armorer, who survived the debacle and remained in the sewers have collected these suits to melt them and use them to create new armors.
Aside from her primary function as the tribe's armorer, she also provides Din guidance as to what he needs to do with Baby Yoda. She mentions the Jedi as an "order of sorcerers" relating to the Child's ability to move objects with his mind. In the end, she lays out Mando's mission to reunite Baby Yoda with his people, until which he'll serve as his father. Finally, she also declares them a clan of two while awarding Mando his signet, not to mention providing him with his jetpack.
The Mandalorian season 2 trailer didn't physically feature the Armorer, but recapping her final conversation with Din last year implies that the gunslinger will be committed in the mission and that it will be the primary focus of the next eight episodes of the series. The Armorer's words will function as Din's compass as he embarks on a new journey with Baby Yoda. It's uncertain if she'll make an appearance in the upcoming season as she was adamant about salvaging all the Beskar she could in Nevarro. In any case, with the trailer featuring the return of Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), it's possible that Mando and Baby Yoda somehow find their way back to the terrestrial planet where they can also reunite with the Armorer. If the Armorer, however, does not appear in season 2, her presence will be felt all throughout as Din works to accomplish the task she laid out for him.
