NutriBullet’s entry into the juicer space is an impressive start.
We’ve heard time and time again just how important it is to eat your fruits and veggies. But there’s an inherent difficulty in making sure the act of doing this happens every single day. Sure, you can cook them, but that takes time. You can buy salads but that can get pricey. So what’s a modern man to do? Juice. Juicing is an effective way to get those critical nutrients, but it can be expensive to not only buy bottles of juice but also a juicer itself. Well, at least it was until NutriBullet stepped into the ring.
NutriBullet, famous for its affordable and effective blenders, is now expanding into the juicer market. In mid-August, the company launched two different models — the NutriBullet Juicer and NutriBullet Juicer Pro — taking their first step into the juicing space. SPY was lucky enough to receive a Pro model for review and based on about a week’s worth of time with the unit, we’re pretty impressed with the intersection of quality and affordability.
The main differences between the NutriBullet Juicer and the NutriBullet Juicer Pro are certainly enough to warrant the $50 increase: the Pro comes with a 1,000-watt motor and low, high, and turbo settings to more effectively juice dedicated fruits and veggies than the regular version. There’s also an increase in space between the two models, as the Pro boasts a two-liter pulp and juice collection basin and a more powerful food pusher. Right out of the gate — and for a slight increase in price — the Pro has features you’d see on higher-end models for much more affordable price. The Pro model also includes a variety of special items like juice bottles, different sized ice trays, a large batch container and a cleaning brush.

However, fancy features are nothing if the machine itself can’t actually juice well. Good news: this isn’t an issue. The dedicated three-speed setting makes it easy to liquefy even the toughest veggies. The increased storage basin means you can have a few different juices lingering while you mix ingredients together, while the easy-dispense flip spout keeps everything at bay until you’re ready. Once it’s all good to go, flip open the spout, and the juice will flow right out into the provided batch container.
When totally done juicing, dissembling the juicer itself is extremely easy; the metal bar that holds everything into place easily clicks back and allows you to remove each section in a few seconds. Washing all of the parts only takes a few minutes (thanks to the handy scrub brush) and then you’re ready to go again. If you’re concerned about storage, you can easily leave it all apart and put it back together whenever you’re ready.
I did find, however, that some of the quantity of juice itself differed from the recipes I was seeing (the Pro includes a guide with a few handy recipes for you to use right away). I’m not sure if the lack out of output was just poor technique on my part and the ultimate result of human error but the actual amount of juice itself was a little lacking. That said, the quality and taste of the juices are fantastic. You can still taste the rich, filling nutrients and it doesn’t have the added sugar mess that bottled juices often have. It’s refreshing and filling and is certainly a faster way of getting your daily nutrients.
At the end of the day, the NutriBullet Juicer Pro is a fantastic entry-level juicer for those looking to eat (or drink) better in 2020. The time and effort it takes to make a great-tasting juice isn’t as much as you’d imagine and will save you a lot of money from buying bottled options at Whole Foods. We’re confident it’ll make getting the right amount of those beloved fruits and veggies even easier.
