President Rumen Radev wished the newly appointed head of the NSO, Brigadier General Emil Tonev, the will and strength to reform and modernize the National Service for Protection. By his decree, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces appointed Emil Tonev as Chief of the NSP and awarded him the senior officer rank of "Brigadier General".
At a ceremony in the Coat of Arms Hall of Dondukov 2, Brigadier General Tonev received his epaulets from the head of state and stressed that the NSP performs its tasks with honor and dignity, despite the great challenges facing the state security service.
The president determined the appointment of Gen. Emil Tonev as a completely natural and as a deserved stage in his professional development. "You are taking up the Office at an important and challenging moment. But I am convinced that given your professional competence, accumulated over the years rich professional experience and outstanding leadership qualities, you will successfully cope with the important and responsible tasks facing the National Service for Protection, "said the head of state to the newly appointed head of the NSP.
