Marques Houston Ties The Knot With 19-Year-Old Girlfriend

Marques Houston has finally gotten hitched. The Immature frontman said “I do” to Miya Dickey, 19, at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, Calif. Monday.

The pair shared the same statement on their individual Instagram accounts, reading in part, “We can’t believe the day has finally come! The day when the two of us were bonded together before Jehovah to become one. Jehovah has blessed us with a true happiness that is unmatched!”

Per county regulations, a small group of guests were present as witnesses. Houston’s former Immature bandmates Jerome Jones and Kelton Kessee were in attendance for the ultra-private ceremony.

Recording artist MAJOR also made a surprise appearance at the reception to sing Dickey’s favorite song, “Why I Love You.”

Houston and Dickey got engaged in March 2019 after five months of dating. He shared on Instagram that they met at a Jehovah’s Witness Convention.

Houston was forced to defend his relationship with the former Ms. Dickey earlier this year, when a Twitter thread alleged that Houston began seeing Dickey while she was still underage.

“I met Miya in 2018 through a mutual friend. Never before then did I even know she existed,” Houston wrote in a lengthy post to Instagram. He explains that the two met at a Jehovah’s Witness convention when Miya befriended the daughter of Houston’s manager, Chris Stokes, whom she calls “dad.”

“Miya and I didn’t start dating until she was an adult,” he added. “We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019. My dad Michael loves her and the people I am closest to all love her as well. Most importantly we have Jehovah’s blessing.”

At that time it was also being reported that Miya’s real name was Miyana Juanita Pinkney and she was a runaway from Oregon. Houston did not address those allegations.
