The BBC series centres around the story of Lata, and her mother, Rupa’s, efforts to arrange her marriage to a “suitable boy”.

Spirited Lata has her own plans and tells her mother she doesn’t want to get married.

She embarks on her own journey, where she meets a mysterious boy called Kabir and falls in love.

However, during the story, she also meets two further potential suitors, Amit and Haresh.

Danesh Razvi plays Kabir in the BBC drama, and has won a legion of fans due to his handsome features, with many pushing for Lata to choose his character over the other two.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Kabir Durrani is the most suitable boy. End of story. Or atleast I wish it was.”

Another tweeted: “Mira Nair cast @DaneshRazvi as Kabir Durrani to give us the Lata-Kabir happy ending we deserve. There’s simply no other explanation.

“HE HAS NOT BEEN CAST FOR A HEARTBREAK AND IT’S 2020, WE NEED A WIN!”
