So, the St. Louis Cardinals go through turmoil and miss weeks of games and then start up against the Sox... and they look SHARP. And bag two important wins in a rival's park.
The White Sox, at home, purportedly playing for a playoff spot and needing to add valuable wins, look like the team that was off for weeks. They looked lost and lifeless.
The attitude on the Sox has already been called out by one important player. You can see it on the field. Something is wrong and the season is already in peril if nothing is done about it.
We’ve all heard how you can’t trade all the players and so you blame... someone else.
We’re not in the locker room so we don’t know where the problem(s) really are. But somebody has got to know. Somebody is on the inside and knows what must be done.
We fans don’t have a lot of patience right now. We’re going through a bunch of nonsense because of how certain people are reacting to a virus and the things they are demanding of us every day. Parts of the CIty are in turmoil.
We were told that things would improve on the field with all this young talent coming up. And we’ve seen glimpses of that. But that’s the problem. Where is the consistency? Where is the leadership? Who is leading this team - or not leading this team - right now?
Yes, the Sox have injuries. The whole team is not on the field. But you can still bring PASSION to the park every day and look like the game means something to you.
The old Chicago Bulls (pre-Jordan) has some decent teams for many years but lacked the greatest of talent. But they had HEART. Big-time heart. They came to play EVERY DAY. They left it all on the court and everyone could see that. Sloan. Van Lier. Love. Walker...and then later, of course, The Man Who Invented Passion And Heart And Caring.
When are we going to see anything like that kind of effort from the White Sox?
