RDR2 Micah Mod Lets Players Kick Tiny Version Of Character Across Town
All Red Dead Redemption 2 players hate Micah, and that universal hatred for the despicable character has been focused in the form of a hilarious new mod. Rockstar’s open-world Western RPG was the subject of a lot of fan backlash the last couple weeks due to an update that made the game unplayable, with a tremendous number of bugs and server problems that disconnected players. Once the Grand Theft Auto developer patched the problems, however, it added new legendary animals and gigantic player discounts in an attempt to make amends.
Like Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 has many mods available for its single-player content. One such mod turns Arthur into a cowboy Superman while another trades horses for giant wolf, cougar, and boar mounts. A quality-of-life mod makes hunting much more efficient by implementing a hunting wagon to transport animal pelts. As the game’s community continues sharing ideas and in-game antics, new mods will likely keep surfacing.
A ridiculous mod reinforces how much all Red Dead Redemption 2 players hate Micah, as highlighted in a video posted by Reddit user WeebleWop24. The mod implements a miniature Micah to follow Arthur around everywhere. In the video, Arthur is seen walking out of the Sheriff’s office when the tiny, loathed character rushes up to him and immediately gets punted by the game’s protagonist. Red Dead Redemption 2’s cast of characters is one of the most diverse in terms of personalities and the emotions players feel towards them. Everyone hates Micah, loves Arthur and John, and start out loving Dutch and gradually detesting him as he descends further into narcissistic psychopathy. When developers can cause such a range of emotions amongst the community, it’s the mark of a well-crafted story, even if well-crafted doesn’t meant everyone’s riveted by it.
Rockstar’s storytelling always has a compelling nature, from Grand Theft Auto’s over-the-top drama to Red Dead Redemption’s grit and L.A. Noir’s moody atmosphere. Despite the popularity of Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online, it’s hard to surpass the excellence of a good story, especially when multiplayer inevitably experiences game breaking bugs and glitches that frustrate the community. That isn’t to say there aren’t problems with single-player content, but those issues are usually less prevalent and result in fewer waves on the ever-fair court of internet opinion.
