I’ve lost everything after one stupid affair with a girl at work
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAD one stupid affair with a girl from work and now I have lost everything.
I’m a man aged 39, my wife is 31 and we have a son and daughter.
I’m a self-employed electrician. I went to a customer’s house a year ago and a beautiful, young woman answered the door. I instantly fancied her.
She sat watching me while I fixed a dodgy light switch. She said she was 28 and a single mum. There was a definite sexual tension between us.
She started texting and then she invited me round one afternoon. We started kissing and then we had sex. Later, my wife saw a message on my phone and threw me out.
I have been trying to see the kids most nights. They are my world. I miss them.
My mother-in-law’s vindictive attitude is rubbing off on my wife.
My wife says I’ve blown it and she won’t have me back because her family would disapprove.
