Fall Guys Gets A Bargain-Bin Clone Made In Dreams | Screen Rant

Fall Guys, the latest battle royale hit, has been dubiously remade by a player using the game creation tool Dreams. People have frequently reconstructed other famous games using Media Molecule's virtual toolbox, and one creator recently brought Halo Infinite's campaign to PS4 using Dreams.

After its official release on Steam and PS4 earlier this week, Fall Guys drew in an unexpectedly huge number of players. The colorful, Mario Party-esque battle royale focuses on humor and accessibility, and debuted as one of the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month. No one was able to enjoy it for very long, though: the servers promptly crashed under the weight of over 1.5 million unique users trying to play Fall Guys on launch day alone. This resulted in a lot of disappointment and even a review bombing war on Steam, but one Dreams user has decided to create an alternative of their own.

YouTube user jiar300 posted a video showing how they came across a "dollar store Fall Guys" clone in Dreams. The clone itself was made by creator Ryanthepro2010 and is simply titled "FALL GUYS." It features 10 player characters competing against each other in a race through a short, janky version of the Whirligig obstacle course from the real game. The controls look like they're even more slippery than the original, and some of the obstacles don't seem to serve any purpose. Still, it's technically functional, which is more than can be said for a lot of other things that have been made in Dreams.

Maybe the best part of this creation is the way it says "Qualafied" when the player crosses the finish line. Even the following screen says "6 Qualafied" as it pushes the other players out of the running. Of course, jiar300 gives it thumbs up for good measure.

This bargain-bin rendition of Fall Guys may not be very impressive, but it's a funny stand-in for a game that isn't exactly playable right now. In spite of the fact that developer Mediatonic has been working on a patch nonstop since the game came out, it looks like Fall Guys' server issues will continue into the weekend and possibly even longer than that. One can only hope the game gets fixed sooner rather than later, and is able to retain most of the surprising popularity it gained in the first place.
