Nick Cordero Has 'Long, Long Road Ahead' Amid Health Battle, According to Wife Amanda Kloots
Nick Cordero has a long way to go.
The 41-year-old Broadway actor, who has been battling for his health for months amid complications due to coronavirus, has “a long, long road ahead” according to wife Amanda Kloots in an Instagram Story update on Wednesday (June 17).
“The next goal is to get Nick’s blood pressure under control. That might mean that he has an infection, so they have to find this infection. Then after that, if they can get Nick’s blood pressure under control, it would be to get him onto intermittent dialysis,” she explained.
She also revealed that he is too weak to move, and can’t speak due to the respirator. He has also lost 65 pounds, mostly in muscle. As previously reported, he also underwent a leg amputation and experienced lung damage. A day before, she asked for more prayers.
“It could be months from now still…we’ve got a long, long road ahead.”
She said doctors have estimated that he may need a year in a rehab facility after the hospitalization, and that a lung transplant isn’t an option: “He just wouldn’t survive. He’s just too weak.”
“I tell him, Nick the whole world is praying for you,” she added.
