Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison announce new dates for The Stadium Tour

Less than a month after announcing the postponement of The Stadium Tour due to the ongoing spread of coronavirus Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have announced new dates for 2021.

The tour kicks off on June 19 in Nashville, Tenn., and concludes on Sept. 12 at Petco Park in San Diego. The Stadium Tour will also stop at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Sept. 4.

“All tickets will be honored for the new dates,” a statement posted to Mötley Crüe’s social media pages on Thursday morning read. “If you are a ticket holder and cannot make the new show, you will receive an email from your ticket provider or you can visit livenation.com/refund.”

Live Nation’s policy is that fans wanting a refund for the show will have 30 days to redeem it via the refund website.

In a recent interview with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, he talked about the devastating effect the global pandemic has had on the music industry, including thousands of road crew members being out of work indefinitely.

“I’m not going to sit here and feel sorry for the artists whose tours were canceled or postponed, including ours, but I mostly feel sorry for the fans who just have no outlet at a time like this,” he said. “That’s why alcohol sales are up … People are tripping out and there’s no outlet. I feel badly for the others it affects, too, like the road crews and the thousands of those guys who put on big shows all over the world who are out of work. It just sucks.”
