Watch the Warriors win their 72nd game on Wednesday, and beat the Cavs in overtime of the 2018 Finals on Saturday.
In all likelihood, we won’t get to see a live Golden State Warriors game for quite a while. Even as the NBA explores options to restart the season, there’s a good chance the Warriors won’t actually be included. It could be many months before they’re back on the court.
So now seems like as good a time as any to rewatch older games, right? And thankfully for Warriors fans, no team has produced as many exciting games in recent years as Golden State has.
This week ESPN is airing two of the best Warriors games from the last few years.
Tonight (Wednesday, May 27), ESPN is replaying the Warriors final game of the 2015-16 regular season, when they secured their record-setting 72nd win of the year in a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. You can watch it at 4 p.m. PT.
And on Saturday, May 30, they’re airing one of the better championship games in recent history: Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, when the star-studded Warriors squeaked by the Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime, with LeBron James scoring 51 points. You can watch it at 11 a.m. PT on ABC.
Two tremendous games, and, unlike some of the NBA classics that ESPN has been re-airing during the coronavirus pandemic, the Warriors actually win both of these ones!
So here’s hoping you can all turn on these great Warriors games and forget, for at least a few minutes, what’s going on in the world, and just enjoy some sweet, sweet Dubs basketball.
Enjoy.
