Reports from Spain today suggest that Manchester United have completed a £1.3m deal for Barcelona teenager Marc Jurado. The highly rated right-back has rejected the club’s latest contract offer and is set to join United’s youth team next season.
Jurado has been at the club since he was five but after several weeks of negotiations has made the decision to swap Barca for United.
Barcelona had offered him a substantial salary and a place in the Juvenil B team, as one of the brightest talents in their academy, but he’s opted to join Juan Larios to Manchester, who reportedly agreed to sign for City in December.
Last month, Barcelona were confident in agreeing new terms with Jurado, but United have managed to convince him to join our youth set up.
Jurado would be following Radek Vitek, the highly rated 6 foot 5 inch Czech goalkeeper who was announced last month, and 16-year-old striker Joe Hugill who is set to be a confirmed signing from Sunderland.
