Report: Spurs to use social media to help find missing young people
Tottenham Hotspur are one among several clubs across Europe who have agreed to use their social media platforms to help find missing young people, according to BBC Sport.
The ‘Football Cares’ initiative which will run on International Missing Children’s Day on 25 May, was inspired by Roma.
The Serie A club showed videos of missing children whenever they signed new players over the past two transfer windows in order to capitalise on the vast reach of the videos.
The initiative has seen great results as over six children who have featured in the videos have since been found.
The European Club Association is coordinating the initiative, which is also being supported by FIFA.
Tottenham along with Chelsea and Liverpool have signed up for the initiative taking the number of clubs involved to over 50 across Europe.
Others who have also agreed to take part include Celtic and Rangers in Scotland, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund in Germany, Inter Milan, Juventus and Lazio in Italy, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Valencia in Spain.

This really is a fantastic initiative and a great way for clubs to leverage their large reach on social media. Videos of players signing tend to get a lot of views on social media and whoever came up with this idea deserves a lot of credit.
