WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University men's soccer head coach Joe Dincecco has announced the hiring of Justin Besley as the program's new graduate assistant coach.
Besley arrives at Friends following a three-year stint as the men's soccer assistant coach at NSU University School, where he helped lead the team to a 58-4-6 overall record along with three district championships and a state title this past winter.
During Besley's tenure at NSU, the program featured numerous players earning first team all-county each season and at least one senior committing to play collegiate soccer every year.
His experience also includes two years as a goalkeeper coach at Miramar United Elite FC.
Dincecco has a stark familiarity with Besley, as Besley played at Florida Gulf Coast University as a walk-on goalkeeper in 2015 while Dincecco served as an assistant coach at the school.
"We are delighted to add Justin to our staff," Dincecco said. "As his coach at FGCU, I witnessed first-hand his passion and work ethic as a player. I believe those characteristics combined with his coaching experiences will be a tremendous asset for our program."
Besley earned a Bachelor's degree in Resort & Hospitality Management from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2017 and plans to pursue an MBA at Friends University.
