Broadway actor Nick Cordero’s wife is keeping a positive attitude after her husband’s right leg was amputated amid complications resulting from his battle with coronavirus.
On Sunday (April 19), the 41-year-old entertainer’s spouse, Amanda Kloots, shared a playful video on Instagram of the couple’s first dance at their wedding.
“Part of our wedding dance that our friends @swaywithmeny choreographed for us,” Kloots captioned the clip. “I love dancing with you @nickcordero1 and we WILL dance again!”
Kloots shared the somber news of Cordero’s amputation in her Instagram Story on Saturday, noting that he was having issues with clotting and getting blood down to his toes. Last weekend, she said her husband had developed a new infection in his lung and had to be resuscitated, and that he then had to undergo surgery.
Cordero is known for portraying Earl Hunterson in Waitress and has been in various other Broadway shows, including Rock of Ages, A Bronx Tale and Bullets Over Broadway, for which he received a Tony nomination.
After his surgery on Saturday, Kloots took to her Instagram Story to share that he was out of surgery and recovering.
”I just got a call from the surgeon, he made it through the surgery which is really big because obviously, his body is pretty weak,” Kloots said in a video. ”Hopefully he will relax and rest, but good news.”
