So as we all know, the Warriors have a top-5 pick in this year's draft. But we forget that the dubs also own picks 51 & 52. Those picks (assuming the Warriors don't trade them away) are low-risk, high-reward. That's because they're very cheap and so if the player you selected fails to impress, it's not that big of a deal. If he does play well - you get an Eric Paschall, or maybe even a Draymond later on.
Therefore, I'd like to suggest point guard Yam Madar with the 51st or 52nd pick. Again, low-risk, high-reward. Madar plays in the Israeli pro league and is already an impactful player on his team at just 19 years old. He's very crafty and smart (like most European players) and never afraid of the moment. His style of play is often compared to that of Steph or Kyrie.
I think he can be a steal, especially getting to learn from Steph and eventually be a strong contributor.
Madar was named to the FIBA U-20 tournament first team, in which Israel won the tournament, averaging 15.9 PPG, 7.7 APG, 19.6 EFF. He's also good friends with national team teammate and potential Warriors lottery pick, Deni Avdija.
I attached a video of Yam Madar here, and I'd like to know what you guys think.
