Man Utd could finish Europa League campaign in August as UEFA outlines plan
UEFA have indicated that they remain hopeful the Champions League and Europa League can be finished before the end of the season.
According to Manchester Evening News, European games could be played every three games in a frantic rush to get the competitions finished.
It is believed that UEFA have already outlined new dates for Lyon v Juventus, Barcelona v Napoli, Chelsea v Bayern Munich and Manchester City v Real Madrid.
These matches would take place on August 8 and 9, with the rest of the tournament played every three days so it can reach its natural conclusion.

We presume that UEFA has similar plans in place to finish the Europa League, which United have a fantastic opportunity to win.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are all but through to the quarter-finals after hammering LASK 5-0 in the first-leg in the knockout stages.
The return leg was then cancelled along with all other professional sport across Europe due to the coronavirus pandemic.
If these dates are stuck with, the Europa League final in Gdansk would take place on August 26.
However, there is so much uncertainty as to when football will eventually return and we are not holding out breath that this is when the games will be played.
Clubs still have to complete their domestic seasons before the next campaign and surely the Premier League finishing will be prioritised over European competition.
