COVID-19 Response: Govt Recruits 755 Healthcare Workers, Interviewing Thousands More On April 22

RECRUITMENT OF HEALTH CARE WORKERS

The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with Health Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission wishes to inform the public that in compliance to the Presidential Declaration to recruit two thousand (2000) health workers in response to the global COVID 19 pandemic, a total of 755 health workers have so far been recruited. The cadres recruited are as follows:

Senior Medical Officer(70)
Senior Medical Assistant(100)
Clinical Officer (18)
Clinical Technician (54)
Nursing Officer (66)
Nurse Midwife Technician  (224)
Environmental Health Officer (15)
Assistant Environmental Health Officer (29)
Laboratory Officer (30)
Laboratory Technician(28)
Pharmacist (30)
Pharmacy Technician (26)
Radiography Technician(16)
Hospital Attendant(49)
TOTAL = 755

The public is further informed that as part of the continuation of the recruitment process, interviews will be conducted in all the District Councils by the Health Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission from 22nd April, 2020 for the following posts:

Senior Medical Officer (Grade H);

Nursing Officer (Grade I);

Nurse Midwife Technician (Grade K);

Biomedical Engineer (Grade H);

Laboratory Officer (Grade I);

Health Education Officer – (Grade I);

Clinical Officer (Grade I);

Biomedical Technician (Grade K);

Medical Engineering Technician (Grade K);

Radiography Technician (Grade K);

Senior Pharmacy Assistant – Grade L);

Clinical Technician (Grade K);

Clinical Technician (Anesthesia) (Grade K);

Dental Technician (Grade K);

Pharmacy Technician (Grade K);

Senior Medical Assistant (Grade L); and

Clinical Technician (Ophthalmic).

Candidates in possession of relevant health qualifications for the above listed posts are invited to attend the interviews at their respective District Councils.

They will be required to bring their original academic and professional certificates, Regulatory Body Licensures and National Identification Cards.

Those who were already recruited by Government and Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) need not to come for these interviews.
