MANCHESTER UNITED star Mason Greenwood has been sporting a new look as he keeps himself in shape during the coronavirus lockdown.
The youngster, who has burst on to the scene this season, has shaved his head as fights off the boredom of the current restrictions.
Greenwood, 18, has bagged 13 goals for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season, and has been named by former United striker Romelu Lukaku as the best youngster at the club.
Lukaku tweeted: “Greenwood that boy coldddddd” followed by a “100 per cent” emoji.
Greenwood has also earned high praise from teammate Marcus Rashford for his progression this season.
Rashford said: “Mason’s got everything to be as good as he wants to be.
“He’s got all the attributes needed to be a forward at the very top level.
“He’s ten out of ten. As a forward there is not much else you could ask for in terms of natural ability. Hopefully he continues to work hard and does what he does best.”
Greenwood isn’t the only footballer to shave their head during the break with Danny Drinkwater and David Beckham showing off their new looks.
Borussia Dortmund reportedly wanted Greenwood in return when United tried to sign Jadon Sancho last summer.
The Red Devils tried to lure the England ace back to the Premier League following his incredible spell of form in Germany.
Solskjaer was criticised for not finding a replacement for Lukaku but the decision to bring Greenwood into the first-team frame has been fully justified.
The United boss is still expected to add to his attacking options in the transfer window, with Marcus Rashford’s injury leaving the side light on firepower.
Solskjaer is also considering making Odion Ighalo’s loan deal permanent after shining during his short spell at Old Trafford.
