HOLLY Willoughby took to social media on Saturday to show her support for a stillbirth charity.
Holly, 39, posted a make-up free selfie on her Instagram story which showed her at home and holding up a placard with the hashtag “#kicksstillcount”.
Kicks Count is the UK’s leading baby movement resource and awareness campaign, and they believe that by empowering pregnant women with knowledge and confidence, babies’ lives can be saved.
Kicks Count’s have been trying make their message heard even more so recently amid fears the COVID-19 crisis, and the subsequent strain on the NHS, has discouraged expectant mothers from seeking medical advice should they have concerns about their pregnancies.
Wearing a white shirt and showing off her wavy blonde locks, Holly was keen to help them get the word out and tagged them in her story too.
The This Morning presenter even features in a video on the Kicks Count website where she says: “As a mum of three, I know how exciting pregnancy can be.
“Feeling your baby move is an incredible experience but is also a great sign that they are well.
“There is no set number of movements you need to feel. Your baby will have their own individual pattern that you should get to know.”
She continues: “You can use a Kicks Count wristband or download the free Kicks Count App to help you get to know what is normal for your baby. If you think your baby’s movements have slowed down or stopped, contact your midwife or maternity unit immediately.
“Do not put off calling until the next day to see what happens. Never hesitate to contact your Doctor or midwife, no matter how many times this happens.
“It is not true that babies move less towards the end of pregnancy. A reduction in a baby’s movements can sometimes be an important warning sign that a baby is unwell. Trust your instincts and remember those kicks really do count.”
Holly is still presenting This Morning with Phillip Schofield, and often praises the NHS on the ITV show.
The TV presenter even admitted she broke her wooden spoon as she was clapping for the NHS so enthusiastically on Thursday at 8pm.
Holly took to Instagram and shared a snap of her smashed wooden spoon after she broke it while banging it against a pan during the applause.
Proudly holding up the spoon, Holly captioned the snap: “#Clapforyourcarers #NHS ”
