Ron Rivera, a former Cal football great who is the new head coach of Washington's NFL team, grew up in the Monterey area.
Ron Rivera, the new coach for Washington D.C.’s NFL team, has purchased a home in Pebble Beach for $2.3 million, reports Realtor.com.

Rivera was fired as head coach of the Carolina Panthers mid-season last year, but he accepted the job with Washington not long after in January.
Rivera purchased the Spanish Mediterranean home this past fall. It is 2,830 square feet with three bedrooms and four bathrooms; it features a large master suite with fireplace, a patio and gardens, among many other amenities. It is also central to the coveted Country Club West area.

Rivera went to Seaside High School near Monterey and was an All-American linebacker at Cal.
