Emmerdale viewers disgusted as Mandy Dingle tries to cash in on Marlon’s prison ordeal by selling him out

EMMERDALE viewers are disgusted by Mandy Dingle after she tried to cash in on Marlon’s release from prison.

The barmaid – who is played by actress Lisa Riley in the ITV soap – first tried to use the money raised for Marlon’s defence fund to pay for a party for his release.

But when that was shot down, she called the local paper to sell Marlon’s story for him.

And when the journalist chased after Marlon’s daughter April to get her story, Marlon arrived back having been released from prison.

He was horrified and quickly took her home for the party but it was clear he was struggling.

When the others let slip it was Mandy’s doing, Marlon furiously lost his temper and screamed at her to get out.

Marlon shouted: “You really think after everything I’ve been through that I want to sell my story to the local rag?

“I’ve been in prison Mandy. All I wanted was to be with my kids and you got April mixed up with that.

“All I want is for you to take your miserable excuse for a life and get as far away from me as possible. Get out of my house now.”

Viewers agreed, flocking to Twitter after being disgusted with her behaviour.

One wrote: “Telling Marlon’s story to the press is hardly her best idea ever is it?” alongside an angry face emoji.

A second said: “Mandy being selfish as per usual.”

Another added: “Mandy is something else.”
