The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday constituted a 14-man committee chaired by Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed to review why the party lost the 2019 general elections to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The committee has two members each from the six geopolitical zones and is mandated to fish out the possible reasons that caused the defeat of the party in 2019.
This was disclosed by Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity secretary of the party, while briefing newsmen after the 89th NEC meeting.
Olgbondiyan said the National Executive committee of the party has resolved to approach some grey areas of concern in the 2019 election which it has weighty evidence.
The committee has Bala mohammed as chairman and the deputy national secretary of the party, Emmanuel Agbo as secretary.
The North West geopolitical zone has Sule Lamido and Tanimu Turaki while a former Speaker of the House of Representatives,Yakubu dogara and Alhasan Muhammadu are selected from the North East respectively.
Others are Babangida Aliyu and Istafanus gyang (North Central), Francis Nwaifuru and Austin Nnamani (South East) while Austin Okpara and Stella Omu are to represent the South South respectively.
However, Ologbondiyan explained that the two members from the South West are yet to be listed, saying the zonal leaders are still consulting.
